Freebie Friday (April 1) Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (April 1st ) we are offering a free pattern by designer Gaby Shearer. Gaby is the creator of the Originals By Gaby and Baby Mine brands. The pattern will be free starting at Midnight Pacific Time and free one-day-only.

More About Gaby Shearer and the Baby Mine Brand, (in her own words): I should have known I was destined to create doll clothes patterns when I started sewing on my mom’s sewing machine at the young age of 6. When I turned 8, she rewarded me with my first Barbie doll patterns, many of which I still have. I purchased my first sewing machine, an old Singer Treadle, as a newlywed. I was creating doll clothes and altering patterns to fit Madame Alexander dolls, then giving them away as I didn’t have children yet. Soon I had 2 daughters and created party dresses, play clothes and Halloween costumes. Now I’m retired and thoroughly enjoying my rekindled love of sewing and creating doll clothes. Publishing my patterns is an added bonus, but the real blessing is seeing the amazing outfits created with the use of my patterns. Happy sewing to all!

The skirt features an elastic waist with a gathered tier for fullness without the bulk, and a contrast hem band for extra pizzazz.  Add your own applique or iron on to the t-shirt to give it your own original look!

Picnic Sundress & Show My Bow Jacket For 15 Inch Dolls Such As Bitty Baby: It's the picnic time of year!  Make your baby a darling summer sundress and jacket outfit with this PDF pattern by Baby Mine. This dress features an adorable button flower on the dress front and large bow on the back. The cropped jacket is designed to let the back bow show when wearing it. It is designed with short scalloped sleeves. An easier straight sleeve hem variation is included.

This jacket will be perfect for boy dolls too.  The fully lined jacket has front styled seams, two piece sleeves, and pocket flaps (no pocket) for a tailored look. Front tab snaps to jacket and has decorative buttons. Buttons can also be added to the sleeve. The jacket is made to fit over a t-shirt, but not a sweater. This PDF pattern is designed to fit 15” dolls like Bitty Baby and Bitty Twins. Recommended Fabrics:  Light weight woven fabrics, thin wool, faux wool, cotton, seersucker, linen, cotton blend, rayon. Lining should be a light weight cotton, rayon, or polyester.

Overall Bundle For 15 Inch Dolls Such As Bitty Baby: Your Bitty Baby will be the cutest baby around in overalls made with this bundled PDF pattern from Baby Mine!  This pattern includes instructions for making stylish overalls, a long sleeve tee shirt,  and a hat to keep the sun off. It's a must for every Bitty Boy and Girl who loves the outdoors!   Use a lightweight denim or corduroy for a more rugged look or use a flannel or knit for a softer look. Variations for making the overalls with or without the crotch snaps are included.

May I suggest having some “old fashioned” clothing for the 18" doll on this give-away in the near future? I’m interested in pre-1900 fashions.
