Freebie Friday, (Oct. 31, 2014), Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (October 31, 2014) we'll have one of the following four patterns available for free from Cinnamon Miles.

More About Cinnamon Miles, Liberty Jane Clothing: Cinnamon is the co-founder of Liberty Jane Clothing and Pixie Faire. She's also the author of several bestselling books on fashion and sewing. She strives to design on-trend clothing made to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® and other doll types.

Help us decide which one of Cinnamon's trendy patterns should be free by voting below. Then come back on Friday to see which pattern won and get the free download.

Here is more information about each pattern:

The Shibuya Jacket: Shibuya 109 is the fashion hub for Japanese teens. The trends that start here instantly spread across the country. All eyes are on you. Make a statement and stand out in the crowd with this simple yet striking steampunk inspired look. The Shibuya Jacket Doll Clothes PDF Pattern is now available for your American Girl® Doll. This jacket was featured in the Liberty Jane 2011 Fall Line Tokyo Libby outfit.

The Ruched Hoodie: This new Hoodie design was feartured in the Liberty Jane Fall 2012 Malibu Libby: Star Spotting outfit and it is now available as a pdf pattern! Perfect for any season, this ruched hoodie will look great on your 18 inch American Girl ® Doll! This is an intermediate level pattern because of the amount of pieces, zipper instalation, and the gathering technique. The body of the jacket is lined, the design features an empire waistline with delicate rushing as well as ruching along the center front. It is designed to be made from a thin knit such as the new rayon blends.

The Sofia Blazer: The Liberty Jane Sofia Blazer PDF pattern designed to fit 18 inch American Girl Dolls will compliment a variety of outfits! The jacket features princess seams on both the front and back and is fully lined. The Pine Gap variation is also included - this style features front pockets and tabs on the shoulders for a military inspired look.

The Cropped Jacket: The Liberty Jane cropped jacket 18 inch doll clothes PDF pattern. A great fitting cropped jacket with long sleeves accented with grommets (really tiny eyelets) designed to fit American Girl dolls.

I’m hoping for the ruched hoodie.
The others look like more work and nobody but me is still wearing Sofia-type jackets (my granddaughter told me).
I also like “easy” as my beloved girlies have three dolls “needing” clothes.
Thank you for the free patterns.

I think my granddaughters would love the cropped jacket the most. Plus simplicity is key when I’m making 5 or more. (5 granddaughters = 11 dolls)

The rushed hoodie would be so AMAZING, because it’s so pretty and a bit laid back, but detailed with the ruffles. I also think that having such an everyday pattern, such as a hoodie, for my ag doll would be amazing. Thank you for the free patterns, I love them!!!

Love all of these. All so excellent. Thanks Cinnamon for Freebie generosity! I have Sophia. Hmmm, hard choice, but think it’s between Shibuya and Ruched. Ruched has great techniques as does Shibuya, so …. ???

The Cropped Jacket! Though I really want the Shibuya Jacket, too.

I already own the other two, and am very scared of the Sofia pattern – so complex.

I would love to wear the Sofia jacket, it would go with so much. Dressed up or just that little extra ‘pop’. It would even work as a suit jacket for my boys!!
Zippers and knits never go well for me which is why I didn’t vote for the ruched hoodie although it does look interesting.
The Shibuya jacket is so steampunk – a style I love.
Such a difficult decision but the more versatile Sofia jacket has my vote.
Thank you so much for being so generous with these offers even if the choice is so hard this week.

Ruched hoody or blazer…which one to vote for? Too hard of a choice.

October 29, 2014

That’s a tough choice. While I like each one of the patterns, I vote for Ruched Hoodie – it’s simple yet stylish and can be fashionable or sporty depending on the outfit pieces. I’m very curious about the techniques used to create such fun garment.
Note that I don’t have AG doll and I’m trying to resize these patterns for my BFC Ink doll. So far it’s fun.

Wow, this is a tough choice! I think I have to choose the Sofia blazer, though just by a margin! I really like the Pine Gap alternate jacket as well as the more formal fitted jacket. Thank you , Cinnamon for offering one of these four great patterns (I’d really be delighted with any of them – very conflicted this week!)
