Freebie Friday, (December 26th), Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (December 26th, 2014) we'll have one of the following four patterns available for free. Help us decide by voting in this poll, then come back to Pixie Faire on Friday to download the winning pattern for free. The winning pattern will be featured on the home-page slider so you can easily see which pattern won and download it.

This week we're featuring the work of Cinnamon Miles and the Liberty Jane Clothing Tee Shirt Collection designed to fit 18 inch American Girl Dolls.

More About Cinnamon Miles, Liberty Jane Clothing: Cinnamon is the co-founder of Liberty Jane Clothing and Pixie Faire. She's also the author of several bestselling books on fashion and sewing. She strives to design on-trend clothing made to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® and other doll types too.

Vote Now:

Here is more information about each pattern:

The V-Neck Tee For 18 Inch Dolls: A v-neck tee is a great addition to any doll’s wardrobe! Liberty Jane is excited to offer you this PDF sewing pattern to teach you how to do this “lapped v” technique. This is a perfect project for using upcycled t-shirts that you might have lying around. There are 11 pages of full color step by step instruction as well as 1 page of text only summary of  instructions to save on printer ink! These full color easy to follow instructions walk you through each step in completing a V-Neck Tee for your American Girl ® dolls.

The Sorrento Top For 18 Inch Dolls: This popular top from the Liberty Jane Spring 2011 International Collection has been revised for 2014 to include the By The Boardwalk variation! We've added 8 pages of new instruction to include two complete variations. The 5 strand braid instructions with full color steps are included as well! The Sorrento Top is designed to fit an 18 inch American Girl ® Doll! This design is easy to sew and works with a variety of trims! Have a hard time finding trims? The braid variation can be made without any trims, simply use strips of scrap fabrics to create a unique look. Tips included for sewing with knit fabric which will help prevent stretching and produce evenly stitched hems! Suggested fabrics include: lightweight knit (rayon spandex), rayon, and silky blends.
The U.K. Holiday Top For 18 Inch Dolls: It seems like yesterday, 1972! America and England had so much in common. The music, James Bond, little shiny convertibles that raced up and down the coastlines on sunny summer days. The hair was wild, and the Euro styled fashion was magic. As part of her International Collection, designer Cinnamon Miles has translated the energy of the 1972 scene into a contemporary hit – U.K. Holiday. Now you can make this fun UK Holiday Top PDF Pattern. It’s easy.
The Off-The-Shoulder Tee For 18 Inch Dolls: This top was featured in the 2011 Fall Collection. It is easy to make and you'll be thrilled to know that sewing with knit fabrics in this design is not complicated at all!  It is designed to hang loose and be layered over a tank top.

I really like the Sorrento Top, but I also like the UK Holiday. It’s a difficult decision to choose one. You are wonderful to have all these freebies for us. I’m sewing the first one I’ve tried—The Bubble Skirt. I still have to add the band, but the pattern is easy and it is beautiful made up in a blue patterned silk. Thanks so much for your generosity.

Already have all four of these and they’re all cute, but my favorite is the UK Holiday Top because it makes up so easily in such a variety of fabrics. Both grandaughters love this look with a belt. Merry Christmas and thanks for Freebie Fridays.

Very hard decision. It is just so amazing to have a free Friday. I am new and have found I enjoy making doll clothes, not for money! There isn’t enough money…lol.

I love the v-neck t-shirt because there are helpful hints in the pattern. ( PDF sewing pattern to teach you how to do this “lapped v” technique) which I can use all the help I can get, but also love Sorrento Top.

I am sewing for my Granddaughter and have decided to sew for toys 4 tots, and for Salvation Army. I figured I can get the 18inch dolls with coupons (sorry no AG dolls) and make clothes this winter.

Thank you so much for all you do for us.

I already have all four of these, from previous Freebie Fridays. I appreciate the Freebie Friday, and try to spread knowledge of Pixie Faire whenever possible. I’ll vote for the Sorrento top, because as another poster said, it’s very versatile. It can be casual or formal, depending on the fabric used, trimming fabric, etc.

Hi Cinnamon, I already have these patterns, but so want to say a big thank you for your generousity over these past weeks. My little granddaughter has just finished opening her parcel of “Boutique Originals” for her doll and it was worth all the hours of bending over the sewing machine ;o) Lovely designs that can change with the fabric used and sew up so nicely. You have been and still are a real blessing to me and have made a little girl very happy tonight. Lord bless you and your business for your kindness. I still have several purchased patterns to make up, but after sewing for 2 months every day am taking a break for a while…just keeping an eye open for anything that cathces my eye ;o)

I have all these patterns, but thankful for your continued generosity every week. I’ve been doing some paying forward by giving certain AG doll lovers red velvet Christmas dresses and the Lea and Pearl Christmas stockings when I know their dolly needs a Christmas dress. Will be some happy young ladies when Santa leaves tonight. And I will be happy for sharing my love of sewing.

I think the v-neck is the only one I have not made or cut out (waiting in my stack for a time to sew). For those that do not have the pattern, the UK holiday shirt is adorable. And thank you for the cardigan tutorial this week. It is awesome!!!! Merry Christmas!!
