Freebie Friday, (March 13th, 2015), Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (March 13th, 2015) we'll have one of the following patterns available for free from Cinnamon Miles.

More About Cinnamon Miles, Liberty Jane Clothing: Cinnamon is the co-founder of Liberty Jane Clothing and Pixie Faire. She's also the author of several bestselling books on fashion and sewing. She strives to design on-trend clothing made to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl® and other doll types too.

Help us decide which one of Cinnamon's trendy patterns should be free by voting below. Then come back on Friday to see which pattern won and get the free download.

Here is more information about each pattern:

The Baseball Tee For Ellowyne Dolls: The Liberty Jane Classic Baseball T-shirt PDF Pattern will delight your Ellowyne Doll! The raglan style sleeve is perfect for a beginner because it is a straight seam, not curved or sewn in a circle. Sewing a zig zag seam is an optional way to finish seams, but not necessary to make the t-shirt.

The Sorrento Top For Ellowyne Dolls: The perfect top for hot summer days! The Liberty Jane Sorrento Top designed to fit 16 inch Ellowyne Wilde dolls will be a great addition to your dolls wardrobe. Dress it up with a dark pair of jeans, or go more casual with a cute pair of worn in cut off shorts! The PDF pattern includes pictures and instructions showing how to make the 5 strand braid. The top opens in the back and is designed to have a velcro closure, but could have tiny button/loop closure as well.

The Sorrento Top For 18 Inch American Girl® Dolls: This popular top from the Liberty Jane Spring 2011 International Collection has been revised for 2014 to include the By The Boardwalk variation! We've added 8 pages of new instruction to include two complete variations. The 5 strand braid instructions with full color steps are included as well! The Sorrento Top is designed to fit an 18 inch American Girl ® Doll! This design is easy to sew and works with a variety of trims! Have a hard time finding trims? The braid variation can be made without any trims, simply use strips of scrap fabrics to create a unique look. Tips included for sewing with knit fabric which will help prevent stretching and produce evenly stitched hems!

Thank you Natalie for explaining OG. We are losing all of our Target stores here in Canada, but no doubt another chain will pick them up.

Thank you so much for all your great Freebies ! I have only AG at this time ( and this pattern) but I am always up for new sizes to make for others, even without “a Model”. variety is always good for my library of patterns. So I vote for Ellowyne baseball tee .

Still waiting patiently for something for Ellowyne. :-) I would prefer the baseball tee, but would also be happy with the Sorento. I wish there were some pants options for the poor girl.

Can’t wait to try the Sorrento top for AG dolls. I just started sewing doll clothes in January for my step daughter. I’m not quite experienced enough to adjust patterns. I have learned so much about sewing on your website. You even have me crocheting and doing embroidering again. Thanks for all your tips and tutorials. I’m trying to get up the nerve to make doll shoes and boots. Thanks for all your wondering patterns too.

The Sorrento Top for 18" AG doll would be my favorite as we don’t have those other dolls here in Canada. Thankyou for all the lovely patterns that you generously share! Much appreciated!

I am voting for the baseball t for Ellowyne as it looks like it could be modified to make the Sorrento top as well using the instructions from the AG sized Sorento top pattern from a previous Freebie Friday.
I don’t own every size of doll you have patterns for on this website but I am glad that you are offering a chance for people to build up a pattern library for those dolls. Thank you for this opportunity!

I read a blog today commenting on whatever concerning American Girl Dolls. They used OG in their comment. I am very new to AGD and Pixie Faire and creating or buying doll clothes. What does OG stand for?

I am just starting to make AG clothes for my granddaughter’s Isabelle; it would be great to start with a free pattern for a top (in case it’s too difficult to sew for a doll). My fingers are very arthritic.

I voted for the baseball shirt for 16" Ellowyne. I think I can use it or alter it for the 15" Fisher Price My Friend Mandy dolls (also Becky, Jenny and Mikey) from the 70’s. Plus, maybe the Ellowyne collectors here will be able to get their pattern. I’m still hoping for patterns to come out for 10" Tonner Ann Estelle and her friends Georgia, Gracie, Sophie and Tommy—which would also fit Tonner 10" Patsy currently out! Not many patterns available for them at a reasonable cost! Thanks for all the freebies, no matter what!

I voted for baseball tee for Ellowyne, even IF most likely it will be outvoted by AG. Such a shame that each time you offer Ellowyne or BFC Ink patterns you include AG patterns in the poll.

Thanks for the Ellowyne pattern choices. I voted for the baseball tee. If you leave off the sleeves, add some trim at the top and you have the Sorrento top.

I don’t have Ellowyne but I do have a bjd that 16 inches and would love to be able to sew for her without trying to adapt AG patterns. My daughters and grandaughters have a variety of dolls from Kisch 7", h4h/McCalls 14", KnC, AG and others, I sew for them all! Thank you for offering a variety of patterns.
