Freebie Friday, (April 10th, 2015) Help Us Spread The Word

Hi everyone,

On Friday (April 10th, 2015) we'll launch an exciting new pattern by Liese Brouwer of Doll Tag Clothing designed to fit the Disney® Animators' dolls. This fun pattern will be permanently free! Help us spread the word and then come back on Friday and get your copy.

More About Liese and Doll Tag Clothing: (in her own words) I am a mother of 3 living in South Africa. I come from a sewing family and started at a very young age. My mom and granny taught me everything I know. My favorite baby doll clothes I own were made by my granny... she added the most beautiful detail with lace and bullion roses. I fell in love with American Girl while travelling in the United States and couldn't wait to start sewing for her. I now have a little girl and the fun begins. I am also part of wonderful and creative family in the Hatched in Africa community. It is a place close to my heart. My mom, sister, 2 aunts and I are all part of this amazing world. I love to digitize for the embroidery machines!

More information about the new pattern:

Simply A Skirt: Ready to make cute little skirts for your Disney® Animators' doll with this fun pattern? Even a Disney® princess needs a skirt to complete her wardrobe and now you can make them quickly and easily. This pattern is ideal for the beginner.

I just ordered a new Disney Animator doll named Merida…I love her sassy look. I did this because I saw the patterns for her and bought them. Now I will have three cute little girls to sew for. Thanks for the patterns and the free one too!!!

Wow, this is so timely. I have about 10 of these dolls from Thrift Shops, etc. and they all need new outfits. Making patterns is not that much fun for me. These dolls will go to children at Christmas so I am starting early.

Thanks to Dorriebelle for the link for measurements and photos of these dolls. I may be able to use their patterns for the 1970’s 15" My Friend Jenny dolls if I take in the waist a little. I see the Animators have chubby tummies.

Thanks as always to Pixie Faire/Liberty Jane— and also to Liese Brouwer for gifting this pattern! What a great family story too!

My little girls have at least four of these Disney Animator dolls (Rapunzel, Cinderella, Ariel and Aurora, ..possibly one more, but I can’t remember which one). They also have two Journey Girls (which fit the AG doll patterns with only minor adjustments). I am glad to see a pattern to fit the DA dolls as I have so many AG patterns already. Thank you!

Mary Margaret- That’s super cool! I am an Irish dancer, and it always makes me happy to hear about other people into dolls and dance. :)

Liese so glad to see you with Pixie Faire. I am familiar with your embrpoidery designs and followed Hatched in Africa for many years while Iwas digitizing. I do not have this doll and hope you will do designs for the Journey Girl doll which my granddaughter and I both have. I prefer the JG dolls as there are too many size variations for the AG dolls plus the JG has a full torso making many designs more attractive on them. Your skirt is very sweet. Glad to hear life seems happy for you.

Does anyone have the waist measurement for the Disney Animator dolls? I’m trying to figure out whether this would fit Hearts for Hearts.

I live the “simple” patterns I have bought or received free. I have 2 rescued dolls I have bought from thrift stores that need a new wardrobe too. I use them as my sample dolls for all my doll clothes creations.

I don’t know about anyone else, but I have a fairly substantial assortment of naked doll babies in my grand-kids playroom. I love having a variety of patterns to choose from. I can usually make something to fit one or two of them.

I have three Animator dolls now, and I LOVE Doll Tag Clothing patterns! Have several of them. Clearly written and photographed, and the FIT is perfect. LOVE when that happens with a new pattern. It then becomes my go-to for that doll.
