I have sewed for over 50 years, intermittently. For the past 20 years or so, I had wanted an embroidery sewing machine…finally bought a used Singer XL6000 sewing and embroidery machine. LOVE IT!..

I also have a New Home serger and have found that my main use is to serge the edges of new fabric before I wash it.

Although, I have just started, I think this new adventure will be fun!

I use a Baby lock Allure Plus and a Baby lock enlighten serger. The serger is fantastic because it not only sews well but also has the new technology that allows the machine to thread itself with the press of a button. I change threads a couple times a day. The Allure Plus also sews fantastic. I have sewn for 40 years and this is the first machine that works well with all types of fabric including lycra and fine knit fabrics.

I use a Singer Professional sewing machine that has so many bells and whistles I say it is smarter than I am. I purchased it this past summer for the bells and whistles, but haven’t tried all of them yet. I’m trying to get up the courage to try making shoes and boots for 18 inch dolls to finish the outfits that I make. So far, the thing I like most about my new machine is the powerful motor. It will sew through many more layers than my old Singer Basic Machine.

My go to machine is my Pfaff tiptronic. It’s been very reliable for many years and sews on any fabric I care to tackle. When I became a grandmama my sewing picked up again and I made pj’s, dancing dresses and all manner of fun clothing for my granddaughter. With the scraps I fashioned clothing for her dolls and was so pleased to be introduced to Liberty Jane patterns at a sewing demonstration at my local sewing store. My only problem is which delightful pattern to choose next!

I use a combination of Babylock machines and move back & forth from a Crescendo to an Evolve serger quite a bit. These machines make detailed sewing and easy threading possible even though I’ve had chunky-fingered osteoarthritis for years! For embroidered touches I pull out my older Ellageo. Another essential about the machines is that they are reliable…especially important before the holiday season!

I use a Janomi Gem because it does not take up a lot of space and stitches smoothly. If I go to a quilt or sewing class, packs up easily

I use a Husqvarna sewing machine. The thing I like about it is that it used to be my Grandma,s & she passed it on to me so I could learn to sew ?

I use a Brother sewing machine & serger. Reliable, easy to use, light weight. It has a # of different stitches plus a quilting table. I have always owned Brothers.

I use a Viking sewing machine that belonged to my mother. When I sit down to sew it reminds me of her loving hands and artistic skills making doll clothes and quilts for her grandchildren.
