I am currently crocheting lace for a different historical dress. It would be nice to get it ready made.

The most difficult items to find are the tiny accessories for dressing a doll. Like tiny buttons and belt buckles specific to the outfit you are making. The quality and selection at JoAnn’s and the hobby lobby are not only very limited but often the size and quality are more for baby clothes not my 14" to 20" dolls like the H4H dolls, AG size dolls, and the Karito dolls.

I guess historically accurate trims and buttons in appropriate size are the hardest things for me to find, I’m a bit particular that the trims not only suit the style but the time period of the item I’m making (I do a LOT of historical clothing, it’s what I enjoy the most).

I have been able to find buttons, small zippers, lace, fold over elastic (in many colors) at
saleandbargain.com. I found them thru ebay. They sell zippers as small as 2 1/2 inches. You can also go to gstorela.com and they have many notions to use with dolls.
I love the patterns on here. I shop Joann’s and saw some small tiny buttons there. They also have the lingerie elastic to make doll underwear. Hope this information helps those who have problems finding notions.

I find it difficult to locate small belt buckles, zippers for my granddaughter’s AG doll clothes.
I solved the narrow velcro challenge by cutting 1" or 3/4" velcro in half lengthwise. very simple, inexpensive solution.

For sure, tiny buttons in colors (not just baby white), small scale prints (in abundance) and small scale trims (getting tired of using the same two). So often you will see the perfect combo of prints, trims & buttons, only to realize they are too big….
