Free Doll Pattern (July 1st) Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (July 1st, 2016) we'll have one of the following four doll clothes patterns available for free. This week we're featuring the work of Jennifer Serr. Jennifer is Owner and Lead Designer at Bonjour Teaspoon Patterns - A sewing pattern company specializing in Classic Style for the Modern Girl & Her Doll.  She's a San Francisco Bay Area mom (to Emma - 12 years old), with over 20 years in the fashion industry and over a decade of teaching experience,  Jennifer is also Owner and Lead Instructor at The Sewing Room - a sewing workshop for kids, teens and adults.

More About Jennifer in her own words: "While on a couture tour in Paris, I met a very special little pug named Teaspoon. Teaspoon represents all things cute and fabulous to me and thus inspired the name of this enterprise. Now a little dog named Magic keeps me company in the studio.  I started out designing patterns for my students to use in my classes.  After a while, some of them wanted to make clothing for their dolls and they introduced me to Liberty Jane Patterns.  Impressed by the stylish clothing patterns that were offered, I decided to make doll versions of my girl patterns.  Combining my childhood love of dolls along with my fashion industry background has added a wonderful layer to what I offer my students at The Sewing Room."

Vote Now: Vote in our poll and then come back on Friday and see which pattern won - and download it for free!

I voted for the Annie ruffled dress – I have looked at this pattern for girls & dolls several times, it is very stylish and cute – unfortunately my daughter is too old at 16, but I would like to make this for my friend’s daughter and her doll – These are all such wonderful patterns! Thank you for whichever one we get free!

This week’s collection of patterns is so adorable, it was impossible to pick just one. So I closed my eyes and used the “pin-the-tail-on-the-donkey” method (virtually, of course). The obvious solution to this dilemma is to download the free pattern and purchase the other 3 immediately. Love those stripes.

It is reminiscent to look at the Isabelle Pintuck Shorts. I use to wear shorts and pants just like this in the late 1960’s early 1970’s. It makes me feel like a little girl again. Very nautical as well with the chevron striped shirt as well. Looking good American Girl dolls.
