Freebie Friday Doll Clothes Pattern (November 11) Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (November 11th ) we are offering a free pattern by designer Gaby Shearer. Gaby is the creator of the Originals By Gaby and Baby Mine brands. The pattern will be free starting at Midnight Pacific Time and free one-day-only.

More About Gaby Shearer and the Baby Mine Brand, (in her own words): I should have known I was destined to create doll clothes patterns when I started sewing on my mom’s sewing machine at the young age of 6. When I turned 8, she rewarded me with my first Barbie doll patterns, many of which I still have. I purchased my first sewing machine, an old Singer Treadle, as a newlywed. I was creating doll clothes and altering patterns to fit Madame Alexander dolls, then giving them away as I didn’t have children yet. Soon I had 2 daughters and created party dresses, play clothes and Halloween costumes. Now I’m retired and thoroughly enjoying my rekindled love of sewing and creating doll clothes. Publishing my patterns is an added bonus, but the real blessing is seeing the amazing outfits created with the use of my patterns. Happy sewing to all!

It is both kind and generous of the designer and pixie faire to offer us great options but to offer them for free is truly a gesture from the heart. Thank you both for your generosity. I hope the snappy little jacket wins. I love waking up on Friday mornings to discover which pattern I will be making over the weekend. Thanks again!!!!

Last week, my granddaughter and I were looking at the Pixie Faire patterns for her 18 inch doll.
She was in love with the tri city knit dress and showed me how to make it. I have some knit that has different design in different places and all in same colourways. The tights will be in the light colour and the dress will be a combination of the darker and medium colourways and everything will “match”. That is how she wants me to make the dress for her doll. I think this 8 year old is looking forward to a career as a dress designer. Maybe this will be the time she learns to use my sewing machine
|Yes, I voted for the stunning tri-city dress and will sew it with her in her choice of colourways.. Thank you, Cinnamon..
