September Design Academy Intensive

For those of you interested in taking our signature design course, The Design Academy...

We are doing a special September Intensive with Cinnamon this year where she'll share daily tips, tricks, and examples in a private group.

(Don't worry, if you've already taken the Design Academy in 2016, then we're also going to invite you to join us.)

What do you need to do to participate? Simply purchase the Design Academy! You can study the course before September, or wait and do it during the September intensive.

Limited Time Offer: Hurry, this is a limited time offer. The invitations to the private group will begin going out on Monday August 29th and will promptly end on August 31st at Midnight Pacific. Unfortunately we won't be able to honor requests to join the group after that date.

What you'll get: In addition to the terrific Design Academy content, during the September Intensive Cinnamon will share her personal insights related to the following aspects of design:

1. Design Inspiration Insight: Her best sources of current (on-trend) inspiration (so you can learn how to discover unique items to transform into doll clothes).

2. Product Sourcing: Her favorite sources for fabric, notions, tools, and supplies. You might be surprised at how she finds the supplies she needs to make unique & creative outfits.

3. Warnings: Her list of "Never Do's". Things that you should never do if you want to have your work appreciated (and highly sought after).

4. Income Strategies: Her inside tips about how best to turn your work into a profitable side-business for those who are interested in sewing-and-selling.

5. Special Offers & Free Gifts: A special offer related to the October Pattern Academy (that NO ONE) outside this group will receive as well as special access to several related programs as surprise bonuses.

6. An invitation to join the October Pattern Academy. The Pattern Academy is only available to Design Academy students, so if you'd like to learn to turn your designs into patterns, this is the place to start.

The Design Academy has been our signature course since 2010 and we've had over 1,000 students participate. You'll enjoy the content and the special set of Intensive related benefits too.

More About Cinnamon Miles: In 2008 Cinnamon co-founded Liberty Jane Clothing as an eBay store where she began selling her couture doll clothes and quickly became known for her on-trend designs and ultra-high auction prices. She categorized her designs into the following design concepts:

The Malibu Libby Collection: Featuring Red Carpet Couture, Beverly Hills Street Fashion, and Southern California Beach Culture, the Malibu Libby Collection offers a unique design perspective on the rich culture of Southern California. You can see many of the Malibu Libby Collection outfits here

The Outback Libby Collection: The Outback Libby Collection offers a unique perspective on the Australian Outback style. You can see many of the Outback Libby Collection outfits here.

The Tokyo Libby Collection: The Tokyo Libby Collection features the trendy Harajuku street fashion that has transcended Japan's Harajuku Station area and become a worldwide phenomenon. You can see many of the Tokyo Libby Collection Outfits here.

The Euro Libby Collection: Featuring the elegance and on-trend fashion of the European street, The Euro Libby Collection offers a unique perspective on outfits for a cooler climate. You can see many of the Euro Libby Collection Outfits here

In 2009 Cinnamon launched Liberty Jane Patterns and began selling her original designs as PDF downloads. In 2010 she began publishing designs from other designers too, many of whom had gone through the Design Academy.

In 2010 Cinnamon co-founded Sew Powerful, a charity dedicated to combating extreme poverty through sewing. Today, with over 10,000 seamstresses involved around the world, Sew Powerful is changing Zambia. The core ministry is a vibrant Sewing Cooperative located in Ngombe Compound, the worst urban slum in the country of Zambia. The cooperative produces purposeful products to help girls (and boys) stay in school. It's not an exaggeration to say a worldwide movement of purse makers has stepped up to help. In 2016 Sew Powerful was awarded a $480,000 Ad Grant from the Google Foundation and is receiving critical acclaim for it's unique ministry model.

In 2013, after four hundred thousand patterns had been downloaded from Liberty Jane Patterns, Cinnamon launched Pixie Faire. The site has gone on to have over 1.5 million patterns downloaded and publishes the work of 69 design partners. In the first half of 2016 Pixie Faire served over 350,000 seamstresses.

In 2013 Cinnamon also worked with DK Publishing to produce a bestselling beginners sewing book under their Idiot's Guide brand. The book features unique projects and basic sewing instruction. It's been a bestseller since it was published and is available in bookstores nationwide. You can get a copy on Amazon.

In 2015, to accommodate the growing business and charity, Cinnamon opened Liberty Jane Clothing as her design Atelier (workshop) in Auburn Washington. So if you're ever in the neighborhood, feel free to stop by.

Today Cinnamon leads a vibrant team based in the Seattle area, but works hard to have plenty of time for the her first love, doll clothes design. She loves to share what she knows and is excited to spend September with you!

100% No Questions Asked Money Back Guarantee: If you're not completely satisfied with the Design Academy & September Intensive we will be happy to refund your full purchase price, no questions asked.

I took the DA class too, but I think it was in 2014. Am I still able to join the intensive course DA without paying the entire DA fee?

I am pretty sure that I am enrolled but I am just double checking because I don’t want to miss it.
You and your husband, are the kind of people I look up to. There are fewer and fewer these days. I have been reading some of your books and they are extremely helpful. Give me a needle and thread and I am off and running but put a pencil and paper in front of my and I am stricken with anxiety. You have been a great help.
I was a teacher for 36 years and this is the first September in many years that I look forward to.
Look out seminar, here I come.

I have taken all of your classes including the Design Academy but I think it was in 2015. I would really love to take part in the Face Book page. What do I have to do to do that. Will I have to buy the Design Academy a second time or will the first time count. Very curious on what to do.

Hi Lucille,

We’d be happy to have you join the course. The intensive group will be hosted on Facebook, so you wouldn’t have access to that part of it.
