Bolero Vest & Gaucho Skirt 18" Doll Clothes

9 reviews   |

Fashion in the 1970s was a menagerie of styles.  Particularly trendy was the Bolero Vest & Gaucho Skirt.  These two pieces actually began as Spanish men's clothing and were adapted for women at various times in earlier centuries.  Women's liberation in the 1970s found a niche for this outfit when women were required to wear dresses or skirts to formal functions but would rather wear pants.

The Flossie Potter Bolero Vest & Gaucho Skirt  PDF sewing pattern shows you how to create your doll-sized version of this piece of history with its 15 pages of step-by-step instructions and full-color assembly photos, 4 pages of printable summary instructions (to save on printer ink), and full-size pattern pieces.

You can even choose to use packaged bias tape for the trim, or follow the simple instructions to make your own!

Pair this outfit with the Woodstock Peasant Top shown in the photo.
