Her design experience in the world of historical fashion goes deep! She brings to us two beautifully detailed pattern brands, Thimbles and Acorns and Keepers Dolly Duds. Throughout this 4-part series you will see several designs featured in the video demonstrations.The course will be broken down into these installments:Planning the ensemble. Choose your dress pattern. Determine the foundation garments, pantalettes, shift, stays, petticoat. Choose fabrics and colors. Consider embellishments such as trims, embroidery. A Look at Undergarments. She'll do a quick overview of each piece. Why are those pantlettes split in two? How to put on the two piece stays. She will also show how to make a simple petticoat that is custom designed for your dress by using your dress patternDetails on the Tea With The Governess pattern. She'll show a bit of putting the bodice together, then move on to the skirting and show how to do some beginner closed white work!
