The pattern was supposed to be easy. I am experienced at crocheting—I have been crocheting for 50 years. This pattern was not well-written and was confusing in places. I was able to figure it out due to my experience, but it was a challenge. It was not well-fitting, either.
I enjoyed making this swimsuit for my daughter's doll. I would not call this a beginner pattern by any means, but as a seasoned crocheter it was pretty easy. What made it trickier for me was using variegated yarn. It fits her Wal Mart knockoff doll very well and looks cute. I'm going to make one for my dolls next.
Cute pattern fitted doll well pattern was fairly easy to understand and make-up
I had the honor to test crochet this swim suit before publication. If was fun to do. I went through three different yarns before I was satisfied with my choice. Make a swatch, you'll be glad you did! I settled on a cotton/wool blend designed for California weather. The instructions are clear and the stitches are easy. After your first two you can play with leg openings, edge stitches and multiple color yarn to change it up. After all, every girl needs more than one swim suit, right?
