The Retro Mod Coat isn't just a 60's coat, even though it was designed to coordinate with Sofie's Mod Block Dress, it has classic features that fit into contemporary style as well. It is fully lined with the bag lining technique that saves sewing time. The coat has a collar but can be constructed collarless also. There is a bonus removable fur collar that can be worn with either style and works with the simple version dress made from Sofie's Mod Block Dress that is found on Pixie Faire as a Pattern Hack.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.

Fabulous look- so glamorous, especially paired with the Mod Block Dress. Made the ensemble from silk dupioni for a chic retro look. Nice clear instructions. Loved the neat lining flip at the end and voila! - a beautifully lined creation with only a couple of inches to hand sew closed.
This was just what I was looking for just when I needed it! Smooth, close fitting coat is fully lined and can be made in larger prints without breaking the design with extra seams. Very useful pattern for making a variety of different looks!
