Pattern is pretty accurate. It threw me off with her directions of cutting the pattern pieces on the right side of the fabric (I trace my pattern pieces onto the fabric) as oppose to the wrong side. I think her instructions are well written and easy to understand. My first dress came out too narrow to fit the doll but I also used 100% cotton fabric that didn't have much give. I widened the waist for the next dress and it was too wide, I need to try it again using pattern correctly Overall, the dress came out cute and everyone who has seen it loves it. Ps, I used jersey for the top of one dress, it turned out ok (I debated about using interfacing) and gave me that slouchy look I had wanted.
This pattern has sophisticated details...dress your doll like what Mom wears. I made from a wool knit. I did modify the sewing directions and lined the top of the dress instead of facings for a couture look. Turned out very cute.
This is one of the BEST patterns I've used. It's advanced enough that I needed to follow the directions. Yet, the directions are clear. The photos are clear, and the dress is unique. My dress turned out nice. I had a little difficulty putting the under-arm zipper in over the bulky seam to my satisfaction, but I'm very particular. Very nice pattern.
I LOVE this pattern! Turned out amazing. Can't wait to make it again!
This pattern is easier to make then it looks. Good instructions and photos to help you with each step.
