This pattern is for an outfit that is reminiscent of the 1970s. The top is flared with princess lines and has a contrasting Peter Pan style collar that opens at center front with a zipper. The sleeves are gathered at the shoulder and sleeve opening and can be made long or short with contrasting cuffs. The top has ties that wrap from the front to tie in back of the top. The pants are a straight legged style that are full at the bottom and can be with or without cuffs. The tailored look was popular in the 1970s and pants that had a crease and cuffs with a center front opening were the style. The top has the look and feel of a jacket with the zipper opening in front.
The top and pants can be made in cotton and cotton blends and/or light weight corduroy. Floral and polka dot prints work well for this pattern as do solids.
