Your doll will become the cutest patient around with this adorable PDF pattern! This hospital gown is made with an overlap in the back that closes with hook-and-loop tape and bias binding ties so there is no wide open gap. If your doll needs to go to surgery she will also need a scrub hat and some booties! And don’t forget her wrist band for you to write her name on! It is made from vinyl and is so quick to make so you can make a few in a matter of minutes.
There is also a fun Doll Play printable added! Print the X-Rays on Vellum paper or transparencies for a “real” x-ray look. The envelope is printed onto cardboard, folded and glued. There is space on the front for the patient's details to be written on.

My granddaughter’s Wellie Wisher Kendall and Camille both ended up with broken legs. American Girl replaced the dolls but she thought they were in the hospital so Gigi had to make hospital gowns for them to come home. Thanks for the pattern! Someday we will tell her but not today.
Had to replace a wellness wishers doll recently and granddaughter was upset. So I told her I was just sending her to the American Girl Doll Hospital to be repaired. I made the gown, surgical cap, booties and wrist band. Used the box the new one came in for replacement. The outfit fit perfectly, was easy to make and would be easy to fool anyone that it came from the real doll hospital.
I have made several adorable tiny hospital gowns. They look just like the “real people” versions and are not difficult to make. However, in my local stores, I have not been able to find the satin bias tape mentioned in the pattern and am still looking for very lightweight fabric for the caps and booties. Thank you for this pattern!
