Skinny Jeans review

Note...a young child will be unable to dress her doll in these pants...barely make it over the foot. I have a standard AG doll...ties to the measurements...added 1/4” each side seam and barely fit. Cute...folded seam in back ..too much time. Very cute when finished but impractical. Pants will go in a charity basket.

Skinny Jeans 18" Doll Clothes Pattern

This pattern was easy to use and great instructions. The jeans turned out very nicely and a good fit on my doll. They are quite easy to get on and off too. A great pattern.

These are definitely skinny

I would recommend a very stretchy fabric, especially if you are making these jeans for small hands. I tried three different fabrics to get them stretchy enough to go on and off easily for an 8 year old's doll-dressing skill.(Final version was 5% spandex, 30% rayon, 65% cotton.) I also recommend pressing the back pockets into shape and then one line of top stitching to get them on, when I tried to do a double line of stitching (one line to hem the pockets, the second line to sew the pockets to the back of the pants) I got all sorts of wonky and uneven lines. Pressing the fabric instead of the firm hem, and then one line of stitching to attach them was a MUCH cleaner look.
