It was all about that hat for me! Super easy to make and a lot of added value to the outfit. Adding the lace to the dress and pinafore were time consuming, but not difficult. The hardest part was picking out the coordinating fabrics. I will be buying this pattern in the 18” doll size next.
First I love the overall design. I made the hat and the jacket. I love how it looks on my doll at Be Just Me Doll Clothes on Etsy where I give credit to you. I don’t consider myself an expert but I have read patterns my entire life since I could see. So I kept looking for the skirt patterns but realized I had to measure them out myself and I really was disappointed in that. I also wished the pattern included more about layout of the hat. I didn’t like printing so many pages and couldn’t believe I used so much of my ink. I never used the text part more if the images which sort of helped only on lace placement. I would have preferred the pattern be organized around the specific item I was making as flipping around to find parts wasted my time. I hemmed my pinafore ruffle but really no where could I feel nd what to do about that hem. I also didn’t really get glue here on the hat and finally figured out before I cut out the pieces. I redesigned the hat but since both sides are the same I didn’t know which front was the front. I guesses it but all and all I added lots of lace and thought fit was good . I added a lot of my own style and I did like how it came out with my design approach. I could not follow the bodice which seemed tedious so I did it my way. But I see your way hides those inner seams. So I think it really deserves a variety of scores for weak on clarity but strong on cuteness
