Beach Babe On-The-Go 18" Doll Clothes

7 reviews   |

Whether your doll is in the mood for a game of volleyball, feels like lacing up her in-line skates for a jaunt on her favorite trail, plans to spend the afternoon with the girls at the movies … or just needs to slow down and lounge on the beach with a good book, this fun little knit outfit can take her there in style!

Use this combination active wear/swimsuit pattern to make the skirt with briefs attached as a skort … or keep the pieces separate for even more versatility. She’ll be able to hop in the lake one minute, pull on the skirt and head to the mall the next! You could even use the pattern to create cute undergarments or combine it with the compatible Matilda’s Closet Atta Girl Long-Distance Running Outfit for added outfit groupings or legging lengths.

Thanks to four-way stretch fabric and elastic, no closures are needed for the sporty cropped top. Simply pull it up over your doll’s hips and she’ll be ready to play. This PDF pattern also includes instructions to add a lettuce-edged finish to the skirt for a feminine touch, as well as alternative cutting lines for the standalone briefs for those who want more of a bikini-height waistline.

Beach Babe On the Go

I made it from Spandex swimwear and it fit great and so cute! Suggestions for dressing the doll were helpful but even though it was spandex and sewn with stretch stitching, getting the top on the doll is a bit difficult but still manageable. Having a back closure would be easier and certainly easy to make that adjustment to the pattern if desired.

Quick and easy!

I sewed up the swimsuit for my dolls. The instructions were clear and easy to follow and sewed up nice and quickly. My swimsuit is a wonderful fit on the doll!

Good pattern to sew. I

Good pattern to sew. I made the top using spandex and it fit well. Because I used 2 way stretch fabric for the skort and skirt, I added 1/4" on each side, as well as the briefs, and they all fit well. I then sewed the Off the shoulder tee in a 2 way stretch see-thru sequenced knit, to be used as a cover-up for the top? I also sewed LJ Capri length leggings to match the top which completed the outfit. This gives a lot of different outfit combinations. Great fun. All good patterns, easy to follow instructions. Easy downloads. Thanks.

great looking

I made this with swim fabric and it was really great looking. My daughter has a original swim suit from a german doll Company but this one is now her favorite!
