This 1830s dress features a crossed pleated bodice that is set in a narrow waistband. Fitted upper sleeves drop gracefully from the fashionably low shoulderlines. A full lower sleeve spills from the pleated edging of the upper sleeve and fastens at the wrist with a snapped cuff. The full skirt is pleated at the front and gathered in the back. The dress closes in the back with three buttons along the bodice and a snap at the waistband.

What an outstanding pattern! I was fascinated with the detailing, fit, & historic information. This was my first costume using Thimbles & Acorns & will definitely be doing more.
The pattern and instructions are very clear and easy to follow. The finished product is beautiful. I think the dress looks like it was far more difficult to make than it actually was. I love the fine details like the double sleeves with packets and the graceful pleated bodice--for a doll dress! I'm enthusiastic about this pattern line.
Always beautiful patterns. I'm close to having them all!
Love this delightful dress. I used shantung which really showed off the darling cross pleats. Love all the Thimbles and Acorns historical patterns.
