This dress design is reminiscent of the 1970s era of fashion. The pattern has a gored dress design with princess lines and a deep V neckline with large collar and dickey or insert, and full length sleeves with gathers at shoulder and cuff.
This dress can be made with different options that include contrast collar, dickey and cuffs. The sleeve cuffs have opening that close with snaps or hook and loop tape. This design works best with fabrics that have an all over design or non-directional print. This dress can be made with lace edging on the collar and cuffs that was typical of the era of the 70s. Other design options include bows at center front at apex of collar.

Although this pattern lists it as a 70’s dress, I thought it was right on target for modern dresses since most of them have a 70’s flair. The collar on this dress is certainly the main feature of this dress and is is just perfect in size and look. The princess seams if the dress give it a nice fit overall. I’d recommend this Dress not only for your 70’s Doll, but also for your stylish modern doll.
