My favourite sweater pattern is now ready designed to fit 14 1/2" dolls such as WellieWishers™ or similarly sized dolls. It is an easy knit for beginners and even the most experienced knitters will enjoy the simplicity of the pattern. Knit from the neck down, it only requires a bit of sewing for the sleeve seams. The pretty open pattern borders the sleeves and the body of the sweater.
If you like to have matching outfits for your dolls you will love this sweater. It is also available for 18" dolls such as American Girl® so it makes the perfect pattern for 'Sister Sweaters'. Little sister loves to imitate big sister and would give anything to have matching sweaters. No need to worry about getting the same coloured yarn because both are made with DK or Size 3 yarn.
There are two styles of the sweater included in the pattern. The first one is hip-length with four buttons which allows it to hang slightly open at the bottom. A very nice length for tights or pants. The second version is a little shorter with five buttons so that it closed right to the waist. Pairs nicely with a skirt as it just covers the waistband.
The instructions are easy to follow and there are pictures to illustrate so no need to guess how it should look. Each row has a set of brackets which allow you to mark off the rows as you go so you won't loose your place. For the more experienced knitters there is a written summary of the pattern.
Be prepared though as this PDF knitting pattern can be very addicting so you are apt to want to make it over and over again. Hope you enjoy it!

This is a clever pattern that is fun to make. I have made two sweaters so far and plan to make some more. I used Baby Bee Sweet Delight with size 6 needles, and the gauge came out just right. I omitted the "cable" design and used stockinette stitch throughout because I just wanted a simple sweater. It fits Wellie Wishers.
I bought this pattern a few days ago and am so pleased with it. The sweater turned out darling and fits my WellieWisher as planned. Great directions, quick to knit and really a fun sweater to make. Hope to see more knitting patterns by My AG Doll Creations!
I had the great pleasure of testing this pattern for Barb. It was easy and very well written. I plan on making a few more in different colors for my dolls.
