This pattern is reminiscent of the 60’s swimsuit patterns that were made of woven fabric, usually cotton, because that was all that was available then. Polyester was new, but stretch swimsuit fabrics for home sewers was non-existent. Although swimsuit fabrics are abundant today it can be intimidating because of its stretchy quality.
This fashionable swimsuit and coverup pattern is as contemporary as it is retro and easy to sew in woven fabric only!
The swimsuit is two pieces with an open back and skirted bodice; bottoms have elastic waist and legs.
The coverup, made also of woven fabric, has raglan sleeves with a hood and the whole thing is banded along the front edge.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®

Adorable, and easy to make!
It went together just fine but the top only fits the biggest of my assorted 18" dolls. But now that I know it will be easily remedied. the bottoms were no problem. I really like it.
I love this pattern. It's very easy but I didn't have enough fabric so half the top is a blue print & other half is a yellow print. Once It's finished I think it'll look real sweet.
