This cardigan pattern has a slanted asymmetrical opening. The front overlap on the cardigan crosses in front and has snap closure at each point and a slight opening at the bottom. This cardigan can be made from light to medium weight stable knit fabrics that include double knits, ponte knits and single knits with a 30% to 75% stretch across the width of the fabric. The cardigan can be made in two different ways; one with a bias trim, or a version without the bias trim. Another option would be to use fold-over-elastic in place of the bias trim. This cardigan has a lot of possibilities. You can dress it up or keep it casual. Pair it with your favorite jeans or leggings or short pants. You might even decide to pair it with an t-neck underneath for more layering. In this pattern you will learn how to miter the points or as an alternate, use the Hong Kong method for finishing the edges.
