With the Volant Dress you can choose the season or event for your doll by simply making the long or short-sleeve version. It works well with either a lightweight or medium weight woven fabric. Springtime or winter, she'll be ready for any holiday party!
This dress features ruffles at the princess seams and sleeves and also a fully lined bodice. The skirt portion features simple pleats. The back has a hook and loop tape closure, making it simple for even the smallest hands. The pattern also includes three different, simple belt options.
This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18” dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Fabrics: Medium to Lightweight Woven Fabric
Supplies Needed:
-1/2 yard of medium or lightweight, woven fabric
-A scrap of lightweight, woven fabric for lining
-Matching thread
-4”-long piece of hook and loop tape
-Tracing wheel and marking paper, marking pencil
-Ribbon for sash or belt buckle hardware and vinyl for belt.
