The Hooded Bog Coat by Thimbles and Acorns is a modern variation of an ancient Celtic coat design. Made from a single rectangle of cloth that is cleverly clipped, folded, and stitched together, this coat is an interesting combination of historical ingenuity and origami. This unlined knee-length coat features a roomy hood that extends into a decorative front yoke and closes in front with three buttons or snaps. Once you understand the basic construction, it is a super quick and easy pattern to put together.
