Recommended Fabrics: Suitable for woven fabrics e.g. dress weight cotton, lawn, quilting cottons, chambray, batiste, viscose, taffeta, satin.
-For all versions you will need 9½ inches of anti snag Velcro ® for the back fastening or four small snaps or buttons if you prefer not to use Velcro. (You will need extra Velcro if you wish to add the fastening to the underskirt as well as the bodice.)
-View A: (Unlined short sleeved dress with double layer flared skirt and contrast belt). You will need three eighths of a yard of fabric, plus one yard of 1½ inch wide (flat unfolded width) bias binding in a contrast fabric. If you prefer you can cut the bias neck binding from the chambray fabric rather than using the contrast – you will need 9½ inches long by one inch wide (see paragraph 41 for details)
-View B: Unlined sleeveless dress with contrast bound neckline and armholes, single layer skirt, contrast belt and rosette trim). You will need a fat quarter of fabric plus one and a quarter yards of 1½ inch (flat width) bias binding for the belt and binding (or you can use contrast fabric to make the bias trim).
-Lace trims, additional binding for the skirt edges, or rick rack as desired.
