Wanna add some awesome decorations to a plain tank? Layering embellishments is a great way to add a faux "necklace" -- and this one has a very classy, almost Parisian vibe. Here's how!
You'll need embroidery floss, chain, a few beads, some ribbon -- and a tank. :)

OK, now back to the tutorial....
First off, figure out where on the tank you'd like the "necklace" to land. Mark this with a fabric marking pen, chalk, or a plain ordinary pencil. (I marked mine with thread, so you could see it better.)
Then, sew a chain stitch along the line: take a short stitch with your needle, and then wrap the thread around it. Pull through gently, creating a loop. Put your needle back down in the same hole to begin the next stitch.
When you get to the end, sew a short stitch to secure the last loop (second picture).

Time to add some real chain!
Sew one end of a piece of chain to the shoulder. Drape it gently across the front of the tank, then stitch a link down at the middle of your embroidery. Use jewelry pliers to open or cut a link, so that you have a good length at the end.
Repeat for the other side.
Then, tie a cute little bow out of ribbon. I used 1/4" wide ribbon here, which is really easy to get a hold of, and works great for this scale.
Sew (or, if you're tired of sewing, glue!) the bow down, right over where all the chains meet in the middle.
Finally, sew down a few pearl beads. I scattered mine along the embroidered "strand" of the necklace.

I did get to go to Paris when my husband worked in Saudi Arabia. The Eiffel Tower was my favorite. Prices r very high on just about everything. So if anyone gets to go, take plenty of money.

When I went to Paris, I enjoyed all of it but, in particular,I loved seeing the Arc de Triomphe and imagining the scene at the liberation of Paris at the end of WW2. The joyful celebrations as the people welcomed the liberators and young girls leaping onto the tanks and throwing flower garlands over the soldiers’ necks. It was so vivid in my mind – just as my dad had described it. He had been one of those soldiers in the tanks.

I have dreamt of seeing the Eiffel Tower. I would love to enjoy a picnic of fresh baked French bread, fresh cheese and of course French wine at sunset by the Seine River and looking at the Eiffel Tower. Check out the spot where Hope Logan left just minutes before her fiancée Liam Spencer arrived to marry her and where Quinn pushed Ivy into the Seine River to slow Liam down so Hope would run away with her son, Wyatt.

Others might be rushing to see the Eifle Tower, or other well known landmarks, but I would love to visit the not so well known. Those hidden gems are always the best places to experience something unexpected. Of course I might have to just “look” at the boutiques! ;)

Oooh, la, la! Surely this will be a drawing! There are so many deserving sites and beautiful descriptions from Pixie Faire fans! For me, sitting in a café in the old district of Paris very early in the morning, when the buttery croissants are first out of the oven. I would accompany it with a steaming cup of pressed coffee. I’d listen to the hum of the city waking up around me and plan the day ahead. I would be in no hurry to leave.

The Eiffle Tower. I first visited it when I was 17. I was afraid of heights, I still am, but I can’t remember the view. I would also climb the stairs to the top of Notre Dame. I remember it was a fantastic view. Then I would ride the tourist boat on the Seine at night. I have good memories from the boat ride.

If I went to Paris, the thing I’d have to see would be… in the morning I would make my way to the market on rue Mouffetard where I would treat myself to un café and a wonderful croissant, and then sit back and enjoy watching the Parisians start their day. In the afternoon I would take my book and spend a few hours in the Jardin du Luxembourg where I would take the time to enjoy watching the children push llittle wooden sailboats back and forth across the pond. In the evening I would walk along the Seine and then have a wonderful dinner at the beautiful little restaurant called Au Vieux Paris which is only a short walk from Notre Dame. Un rêve magnifique!

If I went to Paris I think I would have to go through all of the places mentioned in the DaVinci Code, especially the glass pyramid at the Louvre. I’d want to sit at a cafe and drink coffee and listen to people speak and see if I can remember any of the French I used to know from high school and college. I’d also love to tour castles and chateaus and hear any tales or legends about each one.

If I went to Paris again I would love to go back to the restaurant we went to on L’Avenue des Champs Elysées on our honeymoon. My husband said he knew French so he ordered for both of us. When the order came I had to ask the waiter what it was…he said “kidneys” YIKES. My hubby said he just order the most expensive item because he thought it would be the best. Next time I will be sure to ask first so I can eat a dinner I like. I would love to revisit all of the wonderful sights. Great tutorial – I’m going to try it – thanks so much. If I had a few days to enjoy Paris the fabric shops and if they still exist the lace shops would be high on my shopping list. Walking through the catacombs, the Louvre, along the Champs-Elysees and exploring the street markets are an opportunity not to be missed. Lunch at a cafe and going to the top of Eiffel Tower for a spectacular view of Paris would be top on my list. A show at the Moulin Rouge, if time permitted, would top of a spectacular vacation.
