Double Freebie Friday (June 3 2016) Help Us Decide

Hi everyone,

On Friday (June 3rd) we are going to do a special Double Freebie Friday! Be sure to spread the word!

First, we are offering a new permanently free knitting pattern (The Suzy Slippers) from Jen Reeves the artist behind A Little Knitty

Second, we are going to have you vote to help us decide which pattern from Meg at Miche Designs should be free as well. This will be a one-day-only Friday Freebie.

More About Jen Reeves & A Little Knitty (in her own words),

Hi! I’m Jen, and you could say I’m A Little Knitty! I started knitting when I was 12, although it didn’t really become an obsession until I was 28. When my son was born in 2008, I created some knit hats for him and things just took off from there!

I currently teach knitting classes for Auburn, WA Parks & Rec, opened a small yarn shop inside the Liberty Jane on Main store, and publish my doll knitting patterns through PixieFaire. When I’m not knitting (which is rare) I am out playing with my family. I have been married to Brian for 12 years and we have an 8 year old son, Nolan, and 5 year old daughter, Piper. During the summer we are continually camping and we love to discover new places together!

More About Miche Designs: Artist Meg Paul started collecting American Girl dolls when she was eleven after receiving her first doll as a gift from her Grandma. Meg taught herself to sew using Liberty Jane patterns and has always loved to work in miniature. She is passionate about designing beautiful shoe patterns for doll enthusiasts.

A Sneak Peak At The New Suzy Slippers Pattern:

A perfect pair of slippers for the beginning knitter. Cozy and stylish, they knit up in a snap - the perfect item for your 18 Inch Doll such as American Girl®.

Vote Now For The Freebie Friday Pattern:

More About Each Pattern:

The Clogs: The Clogs PDF Pattern is designed to fit 18 inch dolls such as American Girl®. They are just the thing to match with those summer outfits!

No-Sew Mayli Sandals:  Add a cute new pair of sandals to your doll's summer wardrobe with this no-sew PDF pattern from Miche Designs!  These sandals feature interchangeable embellishments so you can mix and match them for each outfit!

Chich Sandals: The Chic Sandals feature Intertwining straps that create a unique visual interest. This is a craft pattern that requires a small amount of sewing with a sewing machine and use of a hot glue gun.

Strappy Sandals:  Make two styles of sandals for your American Girl Doll, straight strap or criss cross design across the toe. This is a craft PDF pattern that requires a small amount of sewing with a sewing machine.

Take a look at the pattern

We'd love to hear from you! Leave a comment below and thank Jen and Meg!

If you make a cute outfit using this pattern be sure to share a picture using the #pixiefaire and on Instagram!

Thank you to both of these designers for their generous offers! SO hard to decide on the shoes—like all of them! I finally decided on the Strappy Sandals because I think you could use the pattern for not only the dressier strap style, but also make a slide shoe by leaving off the back and ankle strap, adding an elastic if need be to keep them on. I’ll be happy with any of them and the slippers shouldn’t be too difficult for this barely able to knit lady. Thanks again!

I am so excited to see Miche Designs shoes this week! I’ve been eyeing these for awhile and admire the imagination and talent that went into her designs. Thank you Meg! Also I’m looking forward to trying the knit slippers, (might need a little help) but, as with many of the patterns, I like learning a new skill. Thanks Jen!

I LOVE Miche Designs shoes! What a special treat! I purchased the no sew Mayli Snadals pattern but have never been able to find the required products to make them up. I vote for the Chic Sandals as they will be great summer staples and they don’t require any super specialty art supplies to make them! Thank you for the chance to win any pattern and I will be downloading the knit slippers as well as they are different than the pixie slippers I have made before, and everyone needs more than 1 pair of slippers! ?

Thanks you both. I never learned to knit but love seeing the creative items made for the dolls using this method. I am sure the knitters in our midst would live these cozy slippers. I consider Meg to be one of the top dolly footwear designers and each creation is awesome. Not sure which to vote for yet but thanks in advance as I would happy add anyone to my collection.
