Knitting socks for dolls is the perfect place to start sock knitting. They are small enough to knit one in an evening, master the technique and move on to big people socks if you so desire.
This PDF pattern is a top-down sock knit in the round. Gauge: 10 stitches to the inch. You have to be familiar with knitting in the round at a fine gauge and increases and decreases.
Supplies Needed:
-1 ball of 4 ply fingering weight, wool or cotton. 50 - 60 yards (46 - 55 m)
-set of size 0 (2mm) - 1 (2.25mm) double pointed needles or two circular needles. Or size to acquire the correct gauge
-Tapestry needle
