Like everyone else, I was a bit intimidated by the bodice pleats. It worked out well and holding them in place with clips saved me. I used a stubborn fabric that wanted to spring open after pleating and pressing. The instructions were very good and the project went together well. My granddaughter will be thrilled with this birthday gift.
Was a little apprehensive about the pleats........not necessary, it turned out beautiful. Used a gown from salvation army and used the slim strap for the doll. The straps had miniature beading. Love it and all these classes I am learning so much.
I loved this pattern. I made a wedding dress for my granddaughter's doll. I used a bridal satin, lace, and an invisible zipper and it looks gorgeous. I would recommend this pattern for the experienced beginner.
This pattern was a real challenge. Especially the front pleated part. I did not pleat the back. It turned out very nicely and I know my granddaughter will love it.
