I like this pattern, easy to put together.
I love this pattern!!! There are very few doll shirt patterns out there that have sleeves and look like a real human would wear it but this one checks all the boxes. I did modify it so that the front has a faux placket with buttons and velcro in the back. So far I have made 6 and they are so cute.
This little blouse pattern is exquisite. It takes some time to complete it, but it is worth it because it turns out so beautifully. I used heirloom type fabric, and took my time. The directions are excellent, and it turned out just as promised. I highly recommend this pattern if you want something above the ordinary!
There are many pieces and copious step by step instructions that are almost overwhelming, but they do result in a unique and feminine top. In my impatience I skipped over the instructions near the beginning of the pattern to pre-press the hems on all the pieces. When I got to one of the final steps, attaching the front bands, it became clear why that step was done. By knowing where the finished hem ends one can pre-sew the bottom hem of the front bands. Since I had skipped the hem pressing I left the bottom edge of the bands un-sewn and finished them after hemming the shirt. If tying a bow is desired, the neckband/ tie string piece should be cut about 4” longer, but it looks great as is with a simple knot. I sewed the smaller size of this pattern and was very pleased with the fit on the somewhat smaller Michael’s Creatology doll that is used by the charity for which I sew. In my photo it is being worn by American Girl’s GOTY from 2015. It fits Grace equally well.
This pattern was easy to follow, fits my our generation doll perfectly and am really happy with all the doll joy patterns. Is gorgeous and looks great no matter what fabric you choose!
