Nothing says winter more than stranded colorwork Scandinavian mittens and a hat. This pattern can be made with 2 or 3 colors.
Both the mittens and hat are knitted flat and stitched together at the side edge. The i-cord bind off on the hat becomes narrow ties for knotting under the doll's chin.
This 24-page PDF knitting pattern is appropriate for the intermediate knitter because it is made up of knit and purl stitches. The few extra techniques are described with color photos, and there are full-color charts for those who prefer them. Also included are 7 pages of printable summary instructions (to save on printer ink!).

I made a couple of the hat and mitten sets. Easiest pattern to follow and so pretty. It was a joy to make. Sizing was exact.
I had the pleasure of testing this pattern for the designer. If you have experience with fair isle knitting this will be a quick and easy knit. If you don't, this is a nice quick way to learn. The headband fits very well and the mittens are, in my opinion, one of the best fitting AG mittens I've ever made. I would definitely recommend it.
