This PDF pattern will help you crochet a beautiful pair of slip-on shoes for your 18" doll. In this pattern, the top of the shoe is crocheted as a single piece. It starts with a triangular “Cathedral Window” motif for the top of the shoe, then the sides of the shoe are added. It is then sewn to a prepared insole, and glued to the outer sole.
Supplies Needed: -Size 10 crochet thread
-Size 8 (1.5mm) steel crochet hook
-Large eye needle
-4 inch by 4 inch piece of 2 mm craft foam sheet Or
SHAPE 1 Pre-cut soles-Scrap of fabric for insole lining (optional)
-2 child size ponytail elastics
OR 1 mm elastic beading cord
-4 inch by 4 inch piece of 1/8 to 3/32-inch thick cork sheet
-Tacky glue
-Clips or clothespins
-Emery board or sandpaper
Skill Level: Intermediate; The skill level has been rated intermediate because, while the crochet stitches and shapes are simple, thread can be a little tricky to crochet if you are not experienced with it.
