I tested this pattern. While I chose a quilters' cotton (not a recommended fabric) for my fabric, I recommend a flowing, drapey rayon or poly type fabric. I was able to make my collar drape, but a softer fabric would make a better drape. And the drape is the wow-factor of this blouse. You'll both have fun making it and admiring it when it's finished. I've never done anything like this. Totally unexpected! I chose a contrast color fabric for the collar and the bow knot to show off the details. Someone - make a collar with two different collar fabrics, in contrast colors. I think that would make a really interesting effect.
