This Sporty Shirtwaist was designed with outdoor activities in mind and is based off a design that was originally paired with the Edwardian Bicycle Skirt. It features a button front bodice with a single pleat at each shoulder for a roomy fit in the front. The button front can be made with working buttonholes or fastened with snaps, if preferred. The bodice is cut shorter in the back to reduce bulk and is gathered at the center back waistline to avoid unsightly bunching under the skirt. The neckline is finished with a fashionable geometric collar, and a small decorative pocket gives it a campy flair. For a finishing touch, instructions for a faux scarf tie are included with the pattern
