This PDF sewing pattern is a combo-pack of Flossie Potter's Betsy Ross trilogy: the "Shop Dress," "Shop Apron & Cap," and the "Betsy Ross Flag."
The shop dress is an everyday dress that Betsy would have worn while working in her upholstery shop. It has 18th century details such as a ruffled low neckline, pointed sleeves with ties, pointed bodice and side gathers. The simple shop apron would have kept the skirt portion of her dress clean, and she would have worn her cap when speaking with customers. The Betsy Ross Flag is the iconic early American flag with thirteen red and white stripes and a circle of thirteen white stars on a blue canton.

Recommended Fabrics: cotton, light-weight cotton, interfacing
Supplies Needed:SHOP DRESS:
1/2 yd cotton
1/4 yd contrast color light-weight cotton such as broadcloth or batiste
Five 1/4" buttons
Possible closures:
(optional) five additional 1/4" buttons
(optional) five small snaps
(optional) 3" soft hook-and-loop tape
SHOP APRON & CAP:
1/2 yd cotton such as broadcloth
1/4 yd (or remnant) interfacing
FLAG:
1/4 yd (45-inch wide) opaque cotton (for each color: red, white, blue)
Not suitable for batiste or stretch fabrics.
NOTE: There should be no "right" or "wrong" sides to these fabrics.
