I have limited sewing experience, but find I’m getting better with each pattern I try. I was intimidated by this dress, but decided to give it a go because it is so pretty. I am very pleased with my results. I even tried the rolled hem on my serger. Directions were easy to follow in most instances. My only suggestion is to use photos with examples that make it clear as to wrong and right sides. One photo used a sheer fabric making it impossible to tell. I am very visual.
I love this pattern very much! Frankly speaking, my first two attempts to make the bodice failed because I'm not an expert seamstress and I started with fancy fabrics right away. After this I took cotton and followed the instructions step-by-step. When I learned the process, the pattern became easy! I already dressed 5 of my dolls in the gowns made by this pattern and plan to use it again and again.
I love this pattern and all the tips the designer gave to help you successfully make this dress. I haven’t finished the dress yet, but so far so good!
