More About Donna and Eden Ava Couture (in her own words).

I taught myself to sew when I was a very young 20 year old, who was starting a new job, and needed a quick wardrobe.  I moved on to sewing for the home when I purchased my first house.  When my daughters started collecting American Girl Dolls, I found I could make most of the clothes in one evening….and that was it…..I was hooked by the instant gratification! Designing and sewing for American Girl Dolls has become a passion for me.  Partnering with Pixie Faire is a both a thrill and an honor!

Wow, thanks for giving us so many fun patterns to vote on! I really had a hard time but chose the lovely muu muu. I never ever thought I’d say that but it is so pretty and flowy and twirly! I can just see my self redoing the colours/patterns to make it into a fandango dress for Josefina as well as making it Hawaiian style.

Thank You for sharing your patterns Donna. I vote for the Hawiian Sundress. I could make it for my granddaughters birthday party this Saturday.

I don’t normally like the kind of neckline where the head-body joint is so openly displayed on cloth body-vinyl or porcelain head dolls. To me it looks clumsy and wrong, as well as poorly crafted, no matter how much the doll itself cost. But I must say that on nasty hot days like we’re having this week, the pa’u hula outfit looks perfect, lovely and cool.

I went with the Hawaiian Pua but will be so happy with any of them since I don’t have any of them! Also looking forward to trying for Nanea! ❤️

What fun patterns! I’ve been eyeing the Hawaiian Sundress though, so it got my vote.
