Hi everyone, let's talk about sewing on the go. I have a trip planned this month, so I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to take you along that journey with me as I plan and prepare for the trip!I'll be leading a trip, for our non-profit Sew Powerful, to visit our sewing program work in Zambia, Africa. It's quite a bit of travel (32 hours total!) and I'm thinking through different ways in which I can bring some sewing supplies with me and some tiny projects that will work well in my carry-on or possibly in my suitcase. My goal is to have something interesting to do with my hands to keep my mind occupied to help pass the time, I'm really looking forward to that! Over this 4-part series, we’ll look at how to carry your sewing supplies with us when traveling, talk through some different project ideas, create a cute project bag, and make a sewing travel bag with a creative pattern hack!I'll be using the Love U Bunches Portable Closet pattern in my tutorial and pattern hack. So if you're thinking about what pattern to use your monthly free coupon towards, I'd recommend that one! We'll also have a few resources available for creating the bag and travel kit, so be on the lookout for those to be listed this week too!As we get started, I'd love some feedback from you too! If you could start thinking about ways in which you travel with your sewing supplies and your go-to sewing projects, that'd be great.Tips for things like: What can you carry on an airplane? What types of projects work well when you're sitting in a confined space? Now that we have our minds spinning with thoughts and ideas, let's jump right into part one. Follow along in this video as I show you some ideas for tiny projects that I think will work well for travel. I'm really excited to bring you guys along for this journey as I work through the details of prepping, preparing, and actually doing the travel. And I'd love to get feedback and interaction along the way. So I just invite you to join me as we tackle sewing on the go together!
