This sporty belt is to be worn at the natural waist and features a Carrick Knot in the front with a hook and bar closure at the back. This multi-strand belt should be worn firmly at the waist to ensure the best appearance. This PDF pattern includes instructions for both child size (waist 21 1/2"-28") and also for 18" Dolls.
Recommended Fabrics: 1/16"-3/8" diameter twine or cotton rope in 2 or 3 colors
Supplies Needed:18” Dolls:
-1/8” (or smaller) diameter rope in two - three colors
-1 yard for each of the 3 strands (3 yards total)
-small scrap of fabric for tabs
-small scrap of fusible interfacing for tabs
-(1) hook and bar closure
Girls:
-1/4” (or smaller) diameter rope in two - three colors
-2 1/2 yards for each of the 3 strands (7 1/2 yards total)
-1/8 yard scrap of fabric for tabs
-1/8 yard scrap of fusible interfacing for tabs
-(2-4) Hook and Bar closure
