Edwardian Wardrobe Steamer Trunk Pattern For 18" Dolls

  |

Looking for a satisfying upcycling project? Create this sturdy doll sized steamer trunk, out of corrugated shipping boxes, paper board cereal boxes, and some basic white school glue. This pattern was inspired by early 1900s Wardrobe Steamer trunks that were made for extended travel.

The trunk itself is made of three layers of corrugated cardboard for a very sturdy box that is secured with working metal clasps. The inside lid is lined and can have a hook attached for hanging clothes. The box section can be left open for the maximum use of space or finished with four working drawers for more organization and easier access to items during travel. Decorative shank buttons are used for the drawer knobs.

Dimensions: The finished trunk is 11 1/2" tall, 8" wide, and 5 3/4" deep.
