The shoe is crocheted in 2 pieces, one that goes around the heel and one that goes over the toe. The piece that goes over the toe has a binding of contrast thread around the center to create a lovely eye-catching accent. The crochet section of the shoe is mounted onto a fabric covered cardboard and foam sole.
This PDF crochet pattern, by Ma Petite Cherie Couture, is designed to fit 18" dolls such as American Girl®.
Recommended Yarn: Size 8 Pearl cotton thread
Supplies Needed:
- 10 grams Pearl Cotton size 8 thread Main Color or size 10 crochet thread
- 24” Pearl Cotton size 8 thread or size 10 crochet thread Contrast Color (optional)
- US size 4/2mm steel hook
- One 4” square scrap white fleece/batting
- 2 6mm Pixie Pack Shape 1 foam soles or craft foam
- 2 Pixie Pack Shape 1 chipboard soles or Cardboard or chipboard
- 4” square of fabric for the sole
- Hot glue gun
- Hot glue sticks
