I bought this pattern simply because I needed a dress like the ones worn in the 1930s. It was very easy to make and turned out so much cuter than I expected. The picture on the cover pattern doesn't do the dress justice. Check the accompanying picture of the doll, in the fall background, and you will see just how cute the gathered bodice is and how adorable the circle skirt looks. i was very happy with the dress, and so was the young lady that it was made for. I will be using this pattern again.
