After I made the "Little '50s Dress" pattern, I realized that there just had to be a coat to go with it. So after a little research and a few walks down our family's Memory Lane, I knew that it had to be a swing coat.
This doll version, by Flossie Potter, designed to fit 18" American Girl® dolls, has raglan sleeves, rolled cuffs, and a single button or frog closure. The coat is fully lined.
The PDF sewing pattern has step-by-step instructions and is chock full of supporting photos to help you create your own swing coat. It also contains summary instructions so you can save on printer ink by printing fewer pages.
Pair this coat with the Tuscan Winter Set for a really cute outfit!

I struggled with the instructions, but once I understood them it was very fast and easy to make. The fit is good.
Very good, I have made two of them and I am very pleased.
It was great! It was simple to use
I haven’t made it yet but have the fabric. The pattern is so cute. I was glad that pattern was available as I prefer making vintage and historical clothes for the dolls.
