Not so easy

Not good. Made the first pair and they didn't fit. Allowed a little and still no fit

cute shoes

Overall, I really like the pattern. I found a few steps to be a bit more challenging, like the top part where the elastic goes and attaching the sole so that the entire part of the seam allowance is covered. I am sure with more practice I will not find it as challenging. The instructions were very easy to follow and love all the pictures to follow along with. Thanks, love this pattern. Patti Brinnon

Janes shoes

The pattern was a breeze, and the shoes I made look great

Very cute, but

Very cute pattern, but the pattern sizing is a tight fit and definitely will not fit a pre-Mattel AG doll. I found that using a glue stick to turn the sole seam in before gluing the chipboard sole helped get a neat finish around the sole. I also seamed the lining to the top of the sides to eliminate the finicky 1/8" double turn hem along the sides. I used grosgrain ribbon in place of elastic on the vamp since the elastic does not seem to serve a functional purchase.

Just completed my first pair

Just completed my first pair of Janes. The pattern was adorable, instructions were very clear and easy to follow. I used a light weight jean material to match the "Mock Button-front Shirt" Pattern by Matilda's Closet. The result was beautiful.
