A sporty denim alternative, this skirt has lots of options for adding details. Five pockets, including front, back & key pockets and optional belt loops create realistic detailing, with a fitted waistband and front fly closure for a flattering fit and easy dressing. Add belt loops, and finish off with hot-fix nail head "rivets" for that last bit of realism. Follow the sandwashing instructions to give the skirt a "lived-in" look.
Dress the skirts up or down based on the top or blouse you pair them with. Go casual with a tee shirt or dressy with a blouse. The skirts pictured here are paired with Liberty Jane's Steam Bib Top pattern from the Tokyo Libby collection.

This skirt went together much easier than I expected it to. I was prepared to do felled seams but there wasn't any in the pattern. A twin needle was very beneficial. I hadn't used one in a long time. Now I'm wondering why.
I loved sewing this skirt, pleats and topstitching it is just like the "big" girls wear! Well worth the time it takes to make it look so good! I even uses a heavier denim and it work okay..... I will be easier and faster with a lighter weight denim!
This skirt is adorable on my doll !!! Because of the details ( topstitching, pockets and pleats ) it does take time to make but it is well worth it. The instructions and photos are clear. The fit on my doll is great even without the optional elastic in the back. I will be making more of these skirts in different fabrics.
