This gorgeous little Sailing Suit, by Little Miss Muffett, consists of a top-stitched Hooded Cover-Up lined with terrycloth (toweling) or waffle weave to keep our 18” girl’s hair out of the wind and the chill off her back. Top-stitched side-tabs keep the Cover-Up from blowing off and pockets in which to keep her sunglasses have top-stitched binding trim. Tiny buttons on the pockets and at tab ends finish the neat look of the Cover-Up. The Bikini Top has a pleated center and as with the Micro Shorts, has top-stitched binding trim should she want to catch some sun. Palazzo Pants, with elasticized waist and top-stitched hems, ensure she doesn’t get chilly and fit nicely over the Micro Shorts when she needs to cover up – A super-chic outfit to enhance any yachting rendezvous. This PDF sewing pattern is designed to fit 18” soft-bodied dolls such as American Girl ®.
Supplies Needed:Fabric Requirements – The Hooded Cover-Up, Palazzo Pants, Bikini Top and Micro Shorts are made using Quilter’s Cotton. The Cover-Up is lined with Lightweight Terry Cloth (Towelling) or Waffle-Weave. The Cover-Up and pockets are bound with Bias trim as are the leg openings of the Micro Shorts. The Bikini Top Straps and Cover-Up Side Tabs are made in cotton to match the binding trim.
