Joy Shorts

These shorts turned out so cute! The instructions and photos are very thorough and provide different variations. The most difficult thing is deciding what fabric combinations to use.

Joy Shorts

I'm happily creating a simplified version of these ruffled hemmed shorts (no pockets or belt loops) and am having a great time. So much detail. Well written instructions. You too can have a good time with this pattern!

Joy Shorts,,,, WOW!

I love love love this pattern!. However I made a few changes.. I left out the belt loops because waist has elastic. I left out the pockets but kept the pocket flaps and added a button on each. I added 1/4" to the ruffle for a slightly longer ruffle. I used a small piece of Velcro for Fly with 2 more buttons for show. Try it and I promise you an even cuter pair of shorts! The directions are fantastic. I figured out the fly but wished the was a close up picture on step 62.

Challenging--WORTH IT!

This was probably the most challenging doll pattern I've ever used in my many years of making doll clothes--that's why I chose it! That, and because this are simply the CUTEST shorts I've ever seen! The directions were excellent--very detailed. If you love a challenge, this is a grreat pattern to try. The FLY was the most difficult part for me, but I did it. I used a lightweight premium cotton, which was very easy to work with. The end result was worth it!
